Patella Alta

This is a new and interesting idea for a lateral x-ray in patellofemoral pain patients that was given to me by Dr. Charles Bertuch.

The lateral x-ray is done in the standing position with the quads relaxed and contracted.

The question is: Do you think that this causes chondromalacia patella by grinding on the upper end of the trochlea groove?
