Welcome to our paradise - Siesta Key, Florida. Siesta is on of the 3 islands off Sarasota on the west coast of Florida. The main attraction is Crescent beach, which was rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic. The sand is very soft white quartz.

Siesta Key lies to the west, just off Sarasota. The sunsets are unspoiled by an civilization.

We have been enjoying this beach since 1979. The beach is wide and flat, ideal for running, cycling and walking. The surf is just right for kayaking, and canoeing, and a haven for water sports and fitness activities.

Ringling museum (video on left). The owner of the Ringling circus, John Ringling, set up home in Sarasota in the 1920's. The museum is a collection of his art and Ca d Zan was his home. The house, built in the late '20's, was on the bay in Sarasota, and hosted many parties during this lively period. We enjoy touring and taking pictures of this heritage property .

The beach in the morning is ready for recreation. Even the birds enjoy a little surfing.

We are indulging in some of our favorite pastimes; photography and reading on the beach. The outrigger canoe is the latest collection of toys for the big boys on the beach!

The flowers are always magnificent. The animals are fun to play with and photograph.

Watching the west coast sunsets, which are the most spectacular in the world is an evening ritual. At this age, you never know how many sunsets are left!!
